Yuki Skin Care PoreLock Foam Cleanser | Review

Hello there! 🙂 If you’ve seen or read my previous posts on Yuki Skincare products (Yuki Glow Premium Soap and Argan Tint), you’re probably familiar with the brand already. But if not, Yuki Skincare is a local brand which focuses on whitening and peeling products. They also have a growing cosmetics line called Yuki HD Cosmetics.

I decided to buy and try their PoreLock Foam Cleanser and have been using this for about 2 months or so.

PRODUCT FEATURES:

  • Contains Melia Azedarach Extract which has antimicrobial properties for skin protection.
  • Contains Keratinase which is a natural exfoliating enzyme to help promote healthy skin turnover
  • It comes in a foam pump and has a silicone facial scrubber attachment for gentle exfoliation.

MY THOUGHTS:

Ingredients: I only know of what was mentioned on their Instagram post here which are Melia Azedarach Extract, Water and Keratinase. Other than that, along with the brand, product name and size, I can’t say anything else. There’s literally no other information on the product. Not knowing the contents of a product is a major concern, in my opinion. If Yuki Skincare can read this, I hope they can add this to their “For Improvement” list and consider adding more product information on the packaging.

Packaging: The packaging is a slim white bottle with a pump and removable silicone facial scrubber. The bottle serves as the handle when using the silicone facial scrubber. It’s neat, slender and easy to hold. One pump dispenses just enough foam to cover half of my face. Although I prefer having more foam so I use 4 or more pumps when cleansing. The silicone facial scrubber is soft, gentle and can be easily removed from the tip for thorough and easy cleaning.

Scent and Texture: The foam has a faint mild floral scent to it. It’s barely noticeable but it gives that feeling of freshness. The foam produced is soft, thick and airy, but not dense. It tends to turn watery so I would suggest to spread it to your desired area immediately.

Results: I use this product 2 to 3 times a week, or whenever I feel like I need some mild exfoliation. It cleans my skin really well, especially when I use the silicone facial scrubber. It removes dirt, oil, dead skin and some blackheads without leaving my skin tight and dry. After washing, it also leaves my skin a little bit brighter. I did not experience any breakouts either.

HOW MUCH and WHERE TO BUY:

It’s priced at Php 299.00 for a 100 mL bottle. Yuki Skincare entertains orders via DM from their Instagram account, @yukiskincareph. They also have verified dealers/resellers here.

OVERALL:

With 2 to 3 times per week, and about 4 pumps per use, I think 1 bottle will last me for about 4 to 5 months. I’m happy with the results of using Yuki Skincare PoreLock Foam Cleanser, but would suggest that they put proper product information on the packaging of the item.
