Hey everyone! I haven’t been that active lately. I’m sorry about that. But I guarantee you that I haven’t been slacking off with my skincare. I’m actually enjoying the products in my routine for the past couple of weeks. I can’t remember the last time my skin was this great. It’s far from perfect. I don’t think I’ll ever have that, but I’m definitely happy with how it is now. 😀
For today, I wanna share with you one of those products that has been part of my routine for about two months now. It’s the Swanicoco A.C Free A.C Control Tee Tree Essence.
- Description: Tea tree leaf fluid and Ceramide. Antibacterial and antibiotic effective for preventing and soothing the pimple. AC Control Tee Tree Essence contains tea tree leaf water instead of purified water to improve problematic skin. It helps regulate sebum by giving skin a refreshing sensation with zinc sulfate and hydrolyzed algin. Extracts help protect skin from irritation and soothe skin.
- Size: 30 ml
- Price: US$42.00
- Recommended for: Troubled skin, oily skin, neutral skin type
- Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Water – It helps clear pores, tighten skin and remove excess oil while maintaining moisture balance. It’s antibacterial properties also help treat and prevent acne.
- Hydrolyzed Algin – Helps to regulate sebum levels, inhibit acne and reduce irritation.
- Scutellaria Baicalensis Root Extract – Used in the management of acne and other skin conditions.

HOW TO USE:
Dispense the product onto your hands and spread evenly on entire face.
Product label on the front of the box is in English, while the other three sides are in Korean. The inside of the box is the same as the one from the skintoner as can be seen here.
Packaging: Packaging is like that of it’s skintoner and emulsion counterparts, except for the pump. As you can see from the photo below, the pump of the essence (left bottle) has a different form compared to the one from the emulsion (right bottle). There’s no other grooves and the pump hole is angular. It’s not that noticeable on the photo, but the essence’s pump’s top part is smooth and matted, while that of the emulsion is smooth and shiny.
Scent and Texture: The product is a transparent watery liquid with a very faint, barely noticeable, tea tree scent. You would really have to put your nose on there to detect the scent. The liquid is very light, refreshing and gets easily absorbed into the skin.
Application: I use this after applying toner. I only use 1 pump of the product, spread it on both hands, apply and tap them evenly onto my skin.
Results: At first, it seemed to me like using this product didn’t really do much difference. But I realized that it’s actually helping keep my skin moisturized and blemish-free. It provided a great additional moisture boost without weighing down on my skin, and helped prevent major breakouts from developing with its antibacterial and soothing properties. This product worked really well together with the other products in my routine for the past couple of weeks, which consisted of items with tea tree and green tea as one of their featured ingredients. I’ve added a photo and listed them below if you’re interested. You can also find this photo on my Instagram page here.

OVERALL: I’m very happy and satisfied with this product. I would recommend this to those with sensitive acne-prone skin. The only downside for me is the price since US$42.00 is a bit too steep for most as Swanicoco is a premium brand. I wouldn’t be able to spend this much for a single product on my own.
