Konnichiwa! Recently, I had been contacted by Ms. Faye Bermudo Alcazar of Yuki Skin Care. She asked if I would like to collaborate with her and review some of their products. I was so overwhelmed as that was the very first time someone reached out to me for a product review. I might have done something good. 😀
Most of the products in their line are for whitening and peeling. They also have a growing cosmetics line. She sent me a couple of items from their brand in exchange for my honest feedback. Some of which are these Yuki Skin Care Argan Lip & Cheek Tint in 15ml roll-on vials.
I bought this some time in January 2017 from an online shop. My intention was to try skincare products with my husband, look for something that would help him with his skin asthma, while satisfying my curiosity for Korean skincare. Hehe. Trial kits are perfect for this.
My husband already tried visiting a dermatologist and he was just given a prescription for a cream that was marketed by the dermatologist, and quite expensive too. We started searching for more affordable but safe alternatives. Then test it out through trial and error. I like trying products. 😀
I chose Innisfree Jeju Bamboo Special Kit because it claims to gently calm flushed skin and keep irritants at bay. This line is recommended for use on irritated skin due to sun exposure on areas like the face, arms and legs. However, feel free to use as you see fit. In my case, I’ve been using it on my face for about a month now.
Since I got my Althea Korea haul some time ago, I’ve been itching to try them all. But I got a bit busy. Sorry for the delay.
There have been quite a number of stick foundation in the market for a some time now. Most of the Korean Stick Balm Foundation I’ve seen online claim to have skincare benefits and have built-in brushes which I find really cute and cool. The Choute Essence Fit Stick Balm Foundation is said to have 7-in-1 properties: BB Cream + CC Cream + Foundation + Concealer + Sun Cream + Pore Balm + Essence.
I’m used to using BB Cream which is a lot easier to deal with. Color matching is not a problem even if you are acidic, and application is best done using your clean fingers. I’m trying to go out of my comfort zone so here it is.
Available Shades: No.21 Light Beige and No.23 Natural Beige
With my recently discovered enthusiasm for beauty products, I tend to browse online beauty shops A LOT. XD
The other day, I received my purchase from Althea Korea. I got them for really good prices too! So awesome! I really love how they carefully package the items so that they’ll arrive in perfect condition. Each, if not grouped together, is/are wrapped in bubble wrap, then cushioned with crumpled Japanese paper fillers. Items are shipped in a big sturdy pink box ,which is also encased in bubble wrap. Then everything is sealed in a thick pink plastic.
This is not a “New year, new me” kind of blog. It’s been almost a year since I started working from home and wanted to commemorate that.
I used to be part of the harsh corporate world. Jumping from one company to another trying to find the right company, right boss, less politics, good compensation and benefits, work-life balance, and all that shit. Learning and growing as a professional and individual as years go by, with the realization that you can never have everything.
If I remember correctly, lip balm was the very first cosmetic product I bought for myself. Since then, I made sure to have at least one with me whenever I go. Right now, I have one in my bag and two on my work desk.
I never used to be what our generation called “Kikay” or “Pa-girl”. I preferred being low-maintenance, that’s it. I even used to dress like a boy. Am actually still a bit boyish. But taste for clothing and preference on skincare has slowly changed, particularly these recent years. Signs of aging? Maybe.
Didn’t really like the hassle of staying with a skincare routine so I barely exerted any effort on it. I found it troublesome. As for makeup, wearing it made me feel uncomfortable, it’s unnatural and awkward.
